Emma talks to Joe Perkins ("DPD Diaries") for BPS The Psychologist Magazine

Now available online and in the June print edition of the British Psychological Society's 'The Psychologist' magazine, Dr Emma Černis talks to Joe Perkins about his new book 'Life on Autopilot'.

Joe is an author, YouTuber, and trustee of Unreal UK (a mental health charity for Depersonalisation Disorder [DPD]). His book describes his own experiences with DPD, including how it began, how he manages with its symptoms, and how it affects every aspect of his life. In the book, Joe speaks to various experts: clinicians and people with lived experience of DPD, to try and understand this under-recognised problem. You may spot Emma in there, too!
