Guidance for clinicians working with dissociation

We’ve developed new clinical guidance to support frontline clinicians working with clients who experience dissociation.

Bringing together emerging research evidence and grounded in real-world clinical practice, the paper shares symptom-specific strategies that Dr Emma Černis regularly teaches in her training sessions. This includes tips for assessment, formulation, applying common cognitive-behavioural techniques, and a consideration of potential therapy process issues.

The paper has been accepted for publication in Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy, and will be available for free via Open Access once published. For now, the preprint is available.
